The U.S. Department of Labor Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)…
is “…a community service and work-based job training program for older Americans. Authorized by the Older Americans Act, the program provides training for low-income, unemployed seniors.”
It offers “…subsidized part-time employment and training in community service positions so that older workers can move to unsubsidized, private sector jobs.”
There are priorities in place in order to be enrolled in this program, but all…
“Participants must be at least 55, unemployed, and have a family income of no more than 125% of the federal poverty level.”
The HHS Poverty Guidelines for 2022 are based on family size and state of residence.
